Kehlani at Jiffy Lube Live

Kehlani is an American singer-songwriter and dancer known for her signature creative vocals that blend significantly with hip-hop beats and modern pop. Born in Oakland, California, Kehlani grew up listening mainly to R&B and neo-soul artists, which would later be a great influence on her music. While studying at Oakland School for the Arts, she learned ballet and modern dance, which eventually led the artist to be recruited as a member of the pop cover band, Poplyfe.

After Poplyfe's 4th finish at America's Got Talent in 2011, Kehlani stepped away from the group and released her first solo track on SoundCloud called "ANTISUMMERLUV." By 2016, Kehlani was nominated for Best Urban Contemporary Album for her second mixtape, "You Should Be Here." Her song "Gangsta" was featured on the soundtrack of the 2016 hit movie "Suicide Squad," and later that year, Kehlani was featured in a single by Zayn called "Wrong." Kehlani has long since collaborated with other notable artists like Charlie Puth, Eminem, Zedd, and Cardi B, which put her right in the circle of the modern music scene.

Kehlani is on an exciting new tour across the country, supporting her latest album, "Blue Water Road."
